Oroton hits Fashion Week - The Australian

I read this on The Australian! How excitement!!
Out of the bag
DESIGN heavyweights are thin on the ground on the official schedule for the upcoming Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia, leaving plenty of room for accessories brand Oroton to go all out for its runway debut and move into ready-to-wear.
The 74-year-old brand has employed stylist Taylor Tomasi-Hill to work on the eagerly anticipated spring-summer 2012-13 show. Tomasi-Hill, the former accessories director at US Marie Claire, is the artistic director of Moda Operandi, an online shopping site founded by ex-Gilt executive Aslaug Magnusdottir and US Vogue's contributing editor Lauren Santo Domingo.

"What drew us to Taylor is her unrivalled expertise with accessories and, of course, her personal style is incredible," says Ana Maria Escobar, Oroton's creative director. "She'll play an important part in Oroton's debut at fashion week."
Tomasi-Hill is already familiar with the brand, having worked on its advertising campaigns in the past. "The overall attitude of the brand is so cool and stylish," she says. "Fashion should be accessible and Oroton finds a way to provide elevated taste to an audience that is financially and sartorially savvy."
With her striking red hair and willowy frame, Tomasi-Hill is a regular on street style blogs and returned the favour of frequent coverage by employing fashion photographer Tommy Ton for last summer's successful Oroton campaign. The pair will be reunited at fashion week with Ton photographing backstage.
