WA's Universal Appeal

So recently I (on the left) made it to the Top 60 of Miss Universe WA for 2013 and when I entered I thought was going to be a comp involving a couple of parades and maybe would give me good hair (finally!) but it turned out to be much so much more!

The program, run by Sophia Barbagallo and her amazing team is already instilling life long lessons in us girls, from fitness to deportment and gives us the opportunity to give back to charity.

So far we have been killing it at boxing classes three times a week with the amazing, former Top 6 contestant, Renae Wauhop. There have been pilates classes as often as we can make them and some amazing opportunities to work with Makeup and Eyebrow Specialists Alison Jade, the hair gods at Circles of Subiaco and the tanning experts at Aussie Bombshell.

Our first major event was a golf day at the Vines Resort and Country Club to raise money for the Toybox charity, and it was a highlight. I managed to play 18 holes of golf with a lovely team from Allianz and have decided golf is definitely something I want to try again!

We've had our Christmas cocktail party at Wolf Lane and have been to many more events where I get to catchup with the 59 other gorgeous girls in the Top 60.

In December we amp up training all in preparation for 2013 where we have our fittings for our gorgeous Kooey bikinis, and will cook for the Ronald McDonald House for charity!

We are cut down to 24 in the middle of February so I'll be posting about the amazing journey and people we get to work with in the meantime. I would encourage all girls to try out for this in future as I never thought I would benefit from it as much as I have, but the experience in the last month has been a life changer already...
